Crocker Art Museum

Sharon, Jack and I spent the afternoon at the Crocker Art Museum. The trip killed a couple of birds with one stone. Jack worked on an extra credit project for school and accomplished one of the requirements for his cub scout bear badge. I believe that this was the first time that I had ever been to the Crocker.

One of the current exhibitions is titled: Yosemite 1938 - On the Trail with Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keeffe. It includes more than 50 pictures that Ansel Adams took on a ten day trip through the Yosemite.

The exhibit also includes some photos that Adams took in the Rocklin area. I was surprised to see a photo of the Whitney tomb. I have a picture that I took of the tomb on flickr. It is located just off the Whitney Oaks golf course near the 11th green.
