Shopping for a New Car

My vehicle at this point is a 1998 Ford Explorer with 218,000 miles. Sharon bought it in January of 1999 while Wallen and I were in Washington DC visiting Nooter. At the time, Jack was 4 months old. Although it has become a game to see how many miles I can drive it, we have started to shop for a replacement.

I am leaning towards getting a hybrid SUV. We are focusing on the Toyota Highlander, Lexus RX 400h, the Ford Escape and the Chevy Tahoe. We took the Toyota Highlander Hybrid for a short test drive this afternoon. I was more impressed with it than I expected. It feels very solid, but also a lot heavier than the Explorer. The inside is bigger than I expected it to be.
