2011 PAL Varsity Comp Basketball SEAS versus Holy Spirit

The SEAS Eagles played their fifth league game against the Holy Spirit Bears. Shooting 11.5% from the field, the Eagles lost to the Bears ten days ago in the Presentation Tournament by the score of 32 to 16.

On the strength of 22 points from a funky looking guard with a Kevin Martin-esque shot, the Bears ran out to a 41 to 26 lead at the end of the third quarter. The guard had 4 three pointers and was 4 for 5 from the free throw line.

The game turned in the fourth quarter. While the Eagles fielded 14 players, Holy Spirit had only 6 players. You can see the Bears wearing down as the game progressed. Putting on an aggressive full court press and pushing the ball on offense, the Eagles outscored the Bears 20 to 9 in the fourth quarter.

Unfortunately, the rally fell just short. SEAS lost to Holy Spirit by the score of 50 to 46. The box score is here.

Jack ended up playing 7 minutes of the 28 minute game. He was 1 for 3 from two point range and 0 for 1 from three point range for 2 points.

The SEAS Eagles now have 6 wins and 5 losses for the season. The game log is here.
