I finished watching season two of Game of Thrones. I actually watched a number of episodes during the long Christmas vacation. I finished season one in October.
I did not find much of season two as compelling or enjoyable as season one. There were an enormous number of new characters introduced in season two. There were so many different stories lines and characters that it seemed a little fragmented and disjointed in the first few episodes. The finished cast has been estimated as the largest one on television.
The story lines did start to converge in the last few episodes of the season and I enjoyed the series more.
I am looking forward to season three premiering on March 31, 2013. I still doubt that I will ever read the books.
