currency of the dystopian future

While this tweet is probably meaningless to most people, it struck me as very funny. Over the last five years, I have wandered into a Starbucks somewhere every week and looked for the Starbucks iTunes Pick of the Week cards. I would usually grab a few of them at a time. The result has been a playlist list of 266 songs on my phone as well as a couple of dozen apps, books and videos. It has also resulted in large piles of the cards on the mess that is my desk. Looking at the mound of Starbucks iTunes Pick of the Week cards on my desk and thinking that they would be the currency of the dystopian future made me smile.

In at least one of these apocalyptic movies, the currency of the dystopian future has to be Starbucks | iTunes Pick of the Week cards.
