Smugglers Cove - Sea Ranch

From 1920 until 1933, the manufacture, sale or transportation of intoxicating liquors was prohibited in the United States.  The law, however, didn't stop people from drinking thus creating a new, illegal industry: smuggling.  One method smugglers used was to ferry liquor ashore from ships anchored at sea. Remote areas, such as our stretch of the coast, were idea for this purpose.

  1. This is one of our great secrets! It's a favorite fishing spot. With its staircase there's easy access into the water for divers. Families love its beach for small children on calm days.
