2nd Grade: Art Lesson C
Sharon spent part of the afternoon as the art docent for Jack's second grade class. The lesson plan looked at religious artwork. The class talked about three pieces of art: Meeting of St. Anthony and St. Paul by Sassetta; St. Joseph the Carpenter by Georges del La Tour [shown below]; and Praying Hands by Albrecht Durer.

For their art project, the kids drew their own praying hands with a charcoal pencil in the style of Durer.
