Thanks for the list. I'm collecting these and today a Starbucks had two more, both songs: "Madly" by Tristan Prettyman, and "Jacqueline" by James Hunter. Both expire Sept. 15th. I'm not sure if this store is putting them out early or what.

Thank you for your list. I am also collecting the Picks of the Week but my local Starbucks doesn't always give them out on time. Luckily, the barristas make all past non-expired Picks available and don't care if I take an extra one or two to update my collection. Your list lets me know what I'm missing or if I'm up to date. by Ledisi and today I got "El Arbol" by Ersi Arvizu. I got them
at different Starbucks, so it is
not the obvious case of a single
store mixing up their stock.

Just so you know, we've got some special ones in Chicago for Lollapalooza (Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights/Newton Faulkner - To the Light/Jamie Lidell - Jim)....but we're still checking your list to make sure we've got all the regular ones - thanks! I think many of the stores are not following the order.

We also have some special ones in Austin in support of Austin City Limits. The one I picked up today (9/14) is "War Hero" by Antibalas. The card looks like the others except it has an Austin City Limits logo in the upper left corner of the card (below the Pick of the Week red banner. This is the first one I've seen like this.

Starbucks is also doing a similar promotion in Canada. I have picked up 3 cards so far from there as well.

I just wanted to applaud you for your diligence and efforts in documenting your collection as it appears to be quite a handy reference and help for others out there - myself included. I actually collect these, as well as Starbucks gift cards as well. There is an internet group primarily focused on the collecting of gift cards: www.giftcardcollector.com. A member of this group had asked that SOMEONE please document via discussion forum threads the releases of these iTunes / Starbucks cards. Sometimes, the baristas leave a white card listing the week's artist and dates along with the Pick of the Week cards. I assume these are to help them track distribution, but I take the white cards if I see them! I was lucky enough to get the white cards for the Chicago Lollapalooza cards so I can verify the dates they were distributed with certainty:

7/29/08 - LOLLAPALOOZA: Newton Faulkner - To the Light
7/22/08 - LOLLAPALOOZA: Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings - 100 Days, 100 Nights
7/15/08 - LOLLAPALOOZA: Jamie Lidell - Another Day

Thanks for the list. I think its great. Dido - Quiet Times did in fact download as Us 2 Little Gods. I picked up another card today and got Quiet Times. I recommend getting another card and giving it a try. Two free Dido songs in one week isn't bad.

I don't make it into Starbucks every week, but I still would like to download the songs I've missed (or will miss) to keep up my collection.

Would anyone be willing to post iTunes Store links to the "Pick of the Weeks"?

From iTunes, all you have to do is select the song in your Music Library, click the arrow in a circle to the right of the song name, and that will take you to the song's spot at the iTunes Store. From there, if you right click it, you can "Copy iTunes Store URL," then paste it here!

Today is the first time I've seen the plain white card with black print, listing the week's artist and dates, that comes along with the Pick of the Week cards. I found 2 of these today for the Bob Dylan card, week of December 15 - 21.

Sometimes the cards get out the day
before they are posted. Every Tuesday is the official release.
So it works both ways...Cards are put out early and cards are left on display past a week.

I plan to keep it up to date with all the new Pick of the Week promos, as well as back fill it from all the past ones. It will also show a photograph of the cards (eventually).

I'll be adding email notifications next, so that people who have signed up and want to be notified when a new promo has hit, they can see what it is via email instead of having to go check at Starbucks.

Why were there two different songs for the week of 9/25/12? In the past, whenever the Pick of the Week card has been for a song, that same song was the digital download as well. But that wasn't the case for the week of 9/25/12 - any idea why?

The physical card has been different from the digital download one other time over the last four years. I am assuming that it is probably a licensing issue.
