Bowling

After the TOC awards ceremony, kayaking and Jack's orientation for the Jesuit summer program on Saturday, we had Sharon's brothers' families [Tom, Becky, Kevin, Eric, Tim, Kathy, Eileen and a friend of Eileen's] over for hamburgers.

After dinner, everyone went bowling at Strikes. Typically, I can steadily improve my score over the course of the evening. After bowling a 103 in the first game, I slipped to 102 in the second game. Getting a little frustrated with myself, I bore down and bowled a 168 in the third game.

I am pretty sure that 168 is my personal best for a single game.

My three game score of 373 ended up the highest of the group for the evening.

Bowling

After going out to an early dinner on Saturday night, Sharon, Jack and I went bowling at Strikes in Elk Grove.  This is only the second time that we have gone there since it opened.

When I bowled with the IS leadership team as a team building event in December, I bowled a 316 three game total. I improved slightly this time, bowling 95, 120 and 135 for a three game total of 350.

IS Leadership Team Dinner and Team Building

Ahead of an all day planning meeting on Friday, our Information Systems Leadership team had dinner at Scott's on the River. Afterwards as a team building exercise, we went bowling at Strikes in Elk Grove. I started off terrible, but improved slightly over the course of three games. I bowled an 82, 107 and 127 for a combined three game score of 316.

Strikes Bowling is located in the Elk Grove Sports Center at 3443 Laguna Blvd. The phone number is 916-226-2695. The three of us bowled there for hour in the boutique section that features leather couches.
