Overnight Adventure with Lee - Day #2

Lee, Sharon and I spent the morning at the California State Railroad Museum. We had a late lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.

Overnight Adventure with Lee - Day #1

I picked Lee up in Pollack Pines on Tuesday afternoon. The rest of the day included: walking Tiber; swimming in the pool; taking a dip in the hot tub; playing with the Thomas trains; a pasta dinner; a bath; an episode of Big Beasts about Polar Bears, and; a story at bedtime-The Curious Fish.

Sharon and I had dinner with Lee, Clem, Morgan, Daniel and Drew at Shilla Teriyaki & Sushi Bar in Camino.

We finished the day watching Sisters. Although we had seen the movie before, Sharon saw it on a list and wanted to rewatch it...

Brunch Adventure with Lee and Clem

Sharon and I took Clem, Lee, Daniel and Morgan to brunch at the Sportman's Hall.

Babysitting Adventures with Lee and Clem

Sharon and I spent the afternoon babysitting Lee and Clem. On his way back from Homewood and skiing a couple of days at Northstar, Drew stopped by with his friend Adam. Clem, Lee, Sharon and I had an early dinner of pizza from the Pizza Factory.

Dinosaur Adventure with Lee

Keeping Lee overnight, Sharon and I took him to Dinos Alive.

Friday afternoon, I picked Lee up from school. It was a surreal experience. Drew and Morgan went to this grammar school. I haven't been back on the campus since 2001, twenty-three years.

Lee and I had a nice afternoon. We took Tiber for almost a mile walk. Lee led Tiber the whole way. We played with the Thomas trains for over an hour. After picking up the trains, we watched an episode of Big Beasts on AppleTv about Elephant Seas.

When Sharon got home, the three of us went to dinner at Serritella's. I had Lasagna [Layers of beef, Italian sausage, Ricotta, Parmesan, and Mozzarella topped with meat sauce. Sharon and I split a pizza (half cheese and half vegetarian.

After giving Lee a bath, we finished the night watching more Big Beasts: giant South American River Otters and Gorillas. Reading him a couple of books, he crashed hard about 8:30 pm.

Lee's 5th Birthday!

Carmen, Drew, Sharon and I facetimed with Lee, Clem, Daniel and Morgan was part of Lee's 5th birthday celebration.

To Pollock Pines

With Drew and Carmen spending the night after Jack's birthday dinner, they headed up to Placerville to help Morgan and Daniel finish cleaning up the apartment. From there, they headed to Pollack Pines.

Sharon and I met everyone at Daniel and Morgan's new house. Sharon got a tour of the propery and house from Morgan; she wasn't there last weekend when I helped them move. All of us spend some time hanging out in the new yard with Lee and Clem.

I was disappointed that Jack bagged on the afternoon. I was hoping to get a family picture for the Christmas Card. It is hard to get all of us in one place.

Overnight Adventure with Lee - Day #1

I picked Lee up on Friday afternoon in Placerville. He spent the night with us. In addition to walking Tiber, swimming in the pool and playing with the Thomas trains, the three of us had dinner at Mesa Mercado and ice cream at GB Gelato. Lee and Sharon finished the day watching episode one of the AppleTV+ series Big Beasts titled The Grey Whale.

Pool Adventures with Lee and Clem

Sunday afternoon, we had Morgan, Daniel, Lee and Clem and Drew and Carmen over to swim. The eight of us spent a couple of hours in the community pool. Afterwards, Sharon served a great dinner of lamb burgers.

Baseball Adventures with Lee

Sharon and I took Lee to the Sacramento Rivercats versus Round Rock Express AAA Baseball Game. In spite of being very unfamilar with the rules, Lee did pretty well. He kept asking Sharon who the guy in blue shirt was, ie the umpire. With the aid of a hot dog and a soda, we made it through the first four innings in our seats. We took Lee to the team store for a hat and then to the playground. We went back to our seats with some popcorn and stayed until the eighth inning.

The River Cats seemed to be on their way to a shutout victory, but a four-run eighth inning by the Express forced extra frames where Sacramento eventually fell in 10 innings by the score of 5 to 4.

Train Adventures with Lee

I picked Lee up on Sunday morning. We met Sharon at the Sacramento Valley Live Streamers Railroad Museum in Hagen Park. The three of us took two train rides.

Early Easter Dinner with Morgan, Daniel, Lee and Clem

We hosted Morgan, Daniel, Lee and Clem for an early Easter dinner on Saturday afternoon.

Lee had a great time doing an Easter Egg hunt in the house and on the back deck.

All of us took Tiber for a walk in the neighborhood.

We had a nice dinner of honey-baked ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans and rolls with carrot cake for dessert.

I love having them so close!

Sharon and I finished the day watching What's Up, Doc? with Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'Neal.

On the way back from skiing at Sierra at Tahoe, Drew and I stopped and visited with Morgan, Daniel, Lee and Clem.

Lunch Adventure with Lee

Friday morning, Sharon and I headed up to Placerville. After visiting with Morgan, Lee and Clem, we took Lee to lunch at Main Street Melters.

Monday afternoon, Sharon and I took Lee to the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity.
