2021 Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree 2021
This year's Christmas Tree has been a little bit of an odyssey. We bought it on December 4, but didn't actually get it up until Decembr 14. Initally, I had trouble using the stand from last year. I made two attempts to put the stand on and bring it in the house. Both were failures; it was not stable.

I ordered a heavy duty stand from Amazon. Tuesday night, using the new stand, I was able to get it in the house and stable. In a shock to all of us, we are very pleased with the tree! Surprisingly, it may be the tallest tree that we have ever had.

2018 Christmas Tree

In 2015 and 2016, we got Christmas trees at Able's on Sunrise. We were extremely happy with the trees that we got there. When that lot disappeared in 2017, we weren't sure what to do. We stopped at a lot at Cal Expo and then at Lamb's in Elk Grove. We bought trees at Lamb's from 2009 to 2014. We ended up buying a flocked tree at Lamb's. Sharon and Jack were very unhappy with the tree; they felt that it was too small.

Last Wednesday night [November 28], Sharon and I stopped at Bambi's Christmas Trees at Douglas and South Harding. Apparently, this lot has been there for years. They had a wide assortment of large trees, they flock trees and they deliver. We headed up buying a tree tagged as 11 to 12 feet. It was delivered tonight. Sharon went home early to meet them. By the time I got home, the tree was in the house and up on a stand. It is definitely the biggest tree that we have ever gotten!

2017 Christmas Tree

2017 Christmas Tree
In 2015 and 2016, we got Christmas trees at Able's on Sunrise. We were extremely happy with the trees that we got there. When that lot disappeared this year, we weren't sure what to do. Last Friday night on the way to the Gainsley's Christmas Party, we stopped at a lot at Cal Expo and then at Lamb's in Elk Grove. We bought trees at Lamb's from 2009 to 2014. We ended up buying a flocked tree at Lamb's.

I picked up the tree on Saturday morning (December 2). Sharon's nephew Eric came over and helped us get it into the house and up on the stand. We decorated the tree after dinner [December 5].

Sharon is not completely satisfied. Although it is a great looking tree, she thinks it is too small. [Note to self], let her pick out the tree next year!

After a busy couple of weeks, Sharon and I finished decorating the Christmas Tree on Friday night.

2011 Christmas Tree

For the third year in a row, we got a Christmas Tree at Lamb's Christmas Trees on West Stockton Boulevard off of Sheldon. After spending most of the day shuttling boxes back and forth to the mini storage and then struggling to put up the outside Christmas lights, we took a break late in the day to pick out a flocked tree.
