Vino Noceto in Amador County. Sharon and I met Laura, Laura's parents and Laura's brother and his wife at the winery. It was a nice tour. We walked into the vineyard and stopped and tasted a couple of Sangioveses. We got a chance to sample a number of different varieties of grapes as we walked along. We walked through the winery visiting the fermentation room, barrel room and crush pad and got a barrel taste. Although neither Sharon or I are particularly fond of Amador County wines, we enjoyed the Sangioveses. Sangioveses is the major varietal in Chianti.
Afterwards, Sharon and I made a quick stop at Andries Wines before heading back to Carmichael. The modern tasting room has some great views.
