96th Academy Awards

Over the last ten plus years, Sharon and I have enjoyed working our way through the Oscar nominated films. Sunday night, we watched the 97th Academy Awards.

I texted my predictions to Clan Heringa, including:

• Best Picture - Anora
• Best Actor - Adrien Brody - The Brutalist
• Best Supporting Actor - Kieran Culkin - A Real Pain
• Best Actress - Demi Moore - The Substance
• Best Supporting Actress - Zoe Saldana - Emilia Perez

I got all of these right except Best Actress. Sharon and I were both shocked that Demi Moore didn't win.

Personally, I was rooting for Timothee Chalamet rather than Brody. Additionally, I am not a big fan of Anora. Anora ended up with five Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.

We still have a couple more films that we would like to see including: Flow, September 5 and I'm Still Here.
