After another disappointing and discouraging day, Sharon and I went to dinner at Canon East Sac on Sunday night to celebrate Jack's birthday. Canon holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation. Although it was once one of Sharon's favorite restaurants, wee haven't been there since a medicore meal four years ago...
We shared a number of plates, including: HEIRLOOM TOMATOES [ricotta mousse, garden basil]; SEASONAL GREENS [truffle vinalgrette, fiscalini san joaquin gold cheddar]; TOTS [mole, pepitas, cotija, pickled onion]; GRILLED PORK RIB CAP [balsamiç cherry jus, summer herbs, pickled chili], and; an interesting corn cake dessert. The food and service were much better this time around.
