Friday night, Sharon and I watched Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy on Peacock.The film explores the actor's sudden death alongside his lifelong, public struggles with addiction. The documentary details the police investigation into a covert network of individuals—including doctors—who allegedly supplied the fatal doses of ketamine. It contrasts his immense career success and comedic legacy on Friends with the dark, tragic final days of his life.
Sharon and I didn't enjoy it. I was hoping for something that explored his life and career, rather than katamine, his death and the prosecution of people who supplied him with katamine. I don't recommend it.
We realized afterwards that the documentary that we were looking for is called The One About Matthew Perry. This is a three part documentary on Netflix. Oy vey... We will watch this in the future.
