Musselman second interview
sacbee.com - Kings bringing Musselman back for second interview
The decision supports what sources within the Kings organization have confirmed, that Musselman has surpassed Monarchs coach John Whisenant as the frontrunner after it was believed Whisenant had already been chosen by Kings co-owners and longtime friends Joe and Gavin Maloof.

2006 Baseball Game 13
Jack played in his thirteenth game of the 2006 baseball season. He pitched the first inning. Although he does not throw as hard as some of the other kids, Jack can throw strikes. The ability to get the ball over the plate is a rarity at this level. The fact that Jack can throw strikes forces the kids to swing at pitches, rather than sit there with the bat on their shoulders. Jack struck out three batters and walked one.

Black Horse Pub & Grill Again
Some time ago, we went to the Black Horse Pub & Grill in Elk Grove for dinner and were underwhelmed. Saturday morning, we decided to give it a try for breakfast. If possible, the breakfast was worse than the dinner.

This is the site of the beginning of the conquest of California by the United States. On June 10, 1846, American settlers led by Ezekial Merritt overpowered soldiers under Lt. Francisco Arce and took their Mexican army horses from the corral of the Murphy Ranch on the north bank of the Consumnes River. The "Bear Flag" action in Sonoma followed on June 14, 1846.
The actual site of Murphy’s Corral is located several miles south of the historical marker.
Whisenant next Kings coach?
sacbee.com - Whisenant could be next Kings coach
There is summary of his background on Wikipedia and a bio on the WNBA site. I did not realize how much he had coached in the college ranks or how successful he has been at a variety of levels.
I have been expecting the Maloofs to make this move for some time.

2006 Baseball Game #12
Jack played in his twelve baseball game of the season. He played first base in the first inning and made two outs at first; in the last game, the team had a number of passed balls at first base. Jack also had probably his farthest hit of the year in his first at bat. He hit one down the left field line. Jack finished up pitching the last inning and stiking out two.
