Fighting my way downtown through the traffic from a round of golf at Mather, I met Jack and Drew at the Foundation Restaurant and Bar for dinner. I had an Italian Cobb Salad [grilled chicken, crisp pepperoni, red onion, tomato, cucumbers, croutons, parmesan, egg pepperoncini & Italian dressing]. Kyle eventually joined us.
After a quick dinner, the four of us went to the Sacramento Kings versus Los Angeles Clippers NBA basketball game. Jack and I sat in Drew and Kyle's seat in the front row of section 218.
The Clippers led comfortably most of the game until the Kings surged in the fourth quarter and got within 100-98 with 1:04 minutes remaining. After Zach LaVine made two free throws with 3.9 seconds left, the Kings stole the inbounds pass. But DeMar DeRozan’s contested 3-point try at the buzzer clanged off the backboard. The Kings lost the game by the score of 101 to 100.
Kawhi Leonard was the high scorer for the Clippers. He had 28 points on 10 for 21 from the field, 2 for 3 from three and 6 for 6 from the free throw line. James Harden added 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
Zach LaVine as the high scorer for the Kings. He had 26 points on 9 for 23 from the field, 4 for 12 from three and 4 for 4 from the free throw line.
The Kings have 4 wins and 3 losses in games that I have seen in the 2024-2025 season.
