A Gentleman in Moscow

Sharon and I watched a Gentleman in Moscow on Paramount+. Sharon had read the book for her neighborhood book club.

A Gentleman in Moscow is a British television limited series consisting of 8 episodes. It is based on the 2016 novel by Amor Towles. Ben Vanstone is writer, executive producer, and showrunner. The series premiered on Paramount+ on March 29, 2024.

The series stars Ewan McGregor in the role of Count Alexander Rostov and his wife Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Anna Urbanova. McGregor shines as the charismatic Count Rostov, embodying his character's wit, charm, and unwavering spirit.

The show follows Count Alexander Rostov who is confined to the Metropol Hotel as punishment. What could have been a bleak existence transforms into a rich tapestry of human connection and personal growth. The series masterfully portrays the Count's journey as he navigates the tumultuous changes of Soviet Russia while finding solace and purpose within the hotel's walls.

The mini-series captures the essence of the book, offering viewers a delightful escape into a world of elegance, resilience, and unexpected friendships. McGregor is very good. I recommend the series.
