Building the Elk Grove House Pic #11

In addition to some progress on the outside over the last week, a lot has been accomplished on the inside. The kitchen counter tops and floor, laundry room counters and floor, the entry way, and one of the bathrooms. It is still hard to believe that it is supposed to be done by June 20, only a little more than two weeks.

Building the Elk Grove House Pic #10

To my disappointment, the outside of the house has not changed much in the last two weeks. On the inside a lot has changed in the last week, the walls have been painted, the moldings, windowsills and railings installed and painted, and the cabinets have all been installed. It is hard to believe that the house is supposed to be completed in 24 days!

Building the Elk Grove House Pic #7

For the first time in seven weeks, the outside view of the house has not changed much. Nevertheless, the inside has changed a lot. The electrical and plumbing were finished and the house was sheet rocked. You can see the sheet rock in the garage…

2000 Spring Training Day 2

This was probably one of my favorite spring training days.  We did not have tickets for a game, but decided to go to Hohokam and buy some outfield grass tickets.  On a beautiful Arizona day, we laid in the outfield, watched Kerry Wood pitch and had Sosa hit a home run about 20 feet from us.  Wallen, Tomasin and I spent a couple of innings leaning against a wall on the third base side discussing the meaning of life.

Sharon's brother Tom hosted a New Year's Eve party. I popped back and forth between the party and the Sutter Health Y2K command center at Granite Park.

Golf at Mather

Larkin, Boone, Brun and I played golf at Mather. Afterwards, as we were figuring out the skins, we were poking Brun about asking Kim out on a date.

Nooters in Albuquerque

With the Nooters in the states for a family reunion in Santa Fe, I spent a short weekend with them in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sunday afternoon before I flew home, Rob dragged me on the Sandia Peak tramway. Billed as world's longest aerial tramway, we went to the top and had lunch.

Re-bachelor Party - Day 1

The Davis Mafia (Tomasin, Hunter, Connor, Geselbracht, Bachman and Snipes) plus Larkin headed to San Diego and Mexico for a re-bachelor party. Sunday afternoon, we saw the Padres beat the Dodgers by the score of 3 to 2.
