Pinewood Derby Day 7
Jack and I spent a big hunk of the holiday afternoon working to bring the car up to weight; pinewood derby cars can weigh 5 ounces. After getting the car to the shape that we wanted, we had to add 2 1/2 ounces. We did this by adding a lead plate to the bottom of the car and then drilling out the top and adding even more weights. We smoothed over everything with putty and left it to dry.
