2010 LYB Major Angels

With the rain washing out the first scheduled practice of Jack's spring rec baseball team, the coach had a team meeting at his home.

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I had a lot of trepidation about this year's baseball draft. Jack ended up getting drafted 15 overall in the middle of the second of twelve rounds (I think the fourth 11 year old?) by the Angels. Two of the assistants coaches for the team are dads whose sons played on the Outlaws. Overall, there are three of Jack's teammates from the Outlaws, including Breyton, Niko and Greysen. Breyton was Jack's bunkmate at Cooperstown last summer with the Gunners. Additionally, the Angels drafted one of Jack's classmates and Eagles' teammate, Andy. Unfortunately, Andy broke his wrist in the Eagles last game against OLA and will probably be out for the season.

Overall, I could not be more pleased.

I think that the Angels will be a very competitive major league team.
