While the boys lounged in the room, I went for a morning run to the South Mountain Park in Phoenix from the hotel and then up into the park. Tomorrow, I will probably organize a group to drive back for a hike or a run.
After getting cleaned up, we took off with a group for Harlow's Cafe for breakfast. Jenny discovered this place in 2004 and we have been going back annually ever since.
Drew, Jack and I took off from there to Camelback Stadium. We are going to see the Dodgers play the Mariners today. We got to the ballpark early and laid in the outfield and watched batting practice.
We had 29 people in our group for today's game, including Wallen, Jill, Nate, Marcus, Bob Wallen, Adam, Jenny, CJ, Carol, Chris, Brea, Luke, Mary Rose, Kyle, Moore, Sue, Pete, Kelly, a friend of Kelly's, Bob, Tomasin, Chris, Mike, Bachman, Jonathon, Mari, Drew, Jack and I.
The Dodgers beat the Mariners by the score of 3 to 1. Knuckleballer Charlie Haeger threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings for the Dodgers.
The crowd of 15,583 set a Cactus League single-game attendance record. Yesterday, there was only 4,407 people at Maryvale. Unfortunately, it took forever to get out of the ballpark. We sat for almost 40 minutes without moving before the traffic started to flow.
Brea and Luke invited everyone back to their house. We finished the barbecuing and hanging out at their house.
