2011 Spring Training Day 4

Over the last couple of years of spring training, we have shifted from coming back on Sunday night to returning on Monday morning. It is just too hard to see a game on Sunday and then get to the airport to catch a flight.

I got Jack and Drew up about 5:45 a.m. on Monday morning. We packed up the room and got gas in the rental car. After some fun with cell phones [we left Jack's phone charging in the hotel room], we headed to the airport.

We had a quick breakfast at the Fox Sports Bar in the concourse. Jack and I caught an 8:15 a.m. flight back to the Sacramento, while Drew had a 9:20 a.m. flight back to Burbank. Jack and I had an uneventful trip home and were back at the house by 11:30 a.m.

It was a nice weekend. I really enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time with Drew. Jack really seemed to particularly enjoy Drew's company and was Drew's shadow for much of the weekend. After being the Wallen Family and Friends tour for a number of years, the trip has tilted back a little to being a Davis Mafia trip. I always enjoy getting a chance to catch up with Tomasin, Wallen, Hunter, Bachman and Moore.
