Carpooling to work, Sharon picked me up at Douglas and we headed downtown. We had an early dinner at Canon in East Sacramento. Janie took Sharon there to celebrate her birthday in January.
After a drink and a halibut ceviche appetizer at the bar, we had a dinner of small plates. We split TOTS [mole madre, pickled onion, cotija], TWO OYSTERS [kimchi cocktail sauce, mignonette, lemon], GREEN NECTARINE SALAD [mint, basil, toasted cashew] and CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS [urfa chile sauce, orange zest, dried garlic, greek yogurt]. The chicken drumsticks were particularly good.
