With Kings leading for most of the game, the Timberwolves made an 11 to 0 run to end the third quarter. The Wolves led 89 to 88 at the end of the third quarter. The Kings were competitive in the fourth quarter, but the Timberwolves held on to win by the score of 117 to 115.
Julius Randle was the high scorer for the Timberwolves. He had 33 points on 13 for 17 from the field, 5 for 6 from three and 2 for 3 from free throw line. Anthony Edwards added 32 points for the Wolves.
DeMar DeRozan was the high scorer for the Kings. He has 26 points on 7 for 18 from the field, 0 for 2 from three and 12 for 14 from the free throw line. The Kings got 24 points from Sabonis and 23 from Murray. Keegan was 5 for 10 from three.
In spite of the loss, the Kings were a fun team to watch. As I texted Jack, I think that it is going to take a couple of weeks to sort out the right rotations.
