Hot Afternoon Run

I was booked solid with meetings for the first part of the day so was not able to get out the door for a run until about 1:30 p.m. It was hot. I ended up running 7.05 miles at an average pace of 9:48 per mile. My splits were 8:56, 9:22, 9:32; 9:42; 10:11, 10:36 and 10:09. Although there was a little bit of a breeze, the temperature was close to 100 degrees. Under these types of conditions, I will carry at least two large bottles, one with water and one with gatorade.
