Google has introduced Street View for San Francisco, New York, Las Vegas, Miami, and Denver.
As an example, here is link with a map and a view of California Historical Landmark #810 which was just down the street from where I was staying in San Francisco two weeks ago.
In April, while we were in San Francisco, we went out to California Historical Landmark #82 (Fort Point). Here is a link to a Google Street View of the Fort with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
