This site held a vote over the last ten months for The New Seven Wonders of the World. The winners included: the Great Wall, China; Petra, Jordan; Christ Redeemer, Brazil; Machu Picchu, Peru; Chichén Itzá, Mexico; the Roman Colosseum, Italy; and, the Taj Mahal, India.
Sharon and I have been to two of the seven. We visited Chichén Itzá with Drew and Jack in June of 2001 and the Roman Colosseum on our honeymoon in 1996.
Although it is probably not very realistic, I added Petra to the list of places that I would to see a few months ago.
