Last weekend, Sharon and I finished watching season one of Only Murders in the Building. It is available on Hulu.Only Murders in the Building is a mystery comedy-drama television series created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The ten-episode first season premiered on Hulu in August 2021. The series received nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
The plot follows three strangers played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. After a suspicious death in their affluent Upper West Side apartment building, the three neighbors join together to investigate and start their own podcast about their investigation.
Watching the first episode of the season, I had the same experience I had when I watched the first episode of Ted Lasso. I was very surprised by the tone of episode and touched by the portrayal of the main characters. The show is very multidimensional. Both Sharon and I enjoyed season one. I highly recommend the series.
