We're looking for someone to join our team as an Technology Executive, IT Services who is responsible for various aspects of strategy, design, development, implementation and maintenance of core technology systems and services for various enterprise business and clinical functions across the health system. This technical, operations-centered IT executive role is a trusted partner of the organization in leading IT to become a highly reliable, business-oriented organization, and is part of the IT senior leadership team at the enterprise. Focuses on the running the core technology function of IT, with oversight of the network, servers, storage, technology operations, data centers, and telecommunications. Actively provides technical perspective and input to IT senior leadership on growth and transformation for IT, and responsible for the success of implementing such strategies. Ensures that IT operations runs smoothly through working with customers, building strong relationships with senior management and key stakeholders, driving differentiated IT strategy, and improving the business value of IT. This role is expected to be a skilled business partner for clinical, revenue cycle, and operational leaders and is expected to work directly with those leaders to develop business solutions leveraging current and emerging core technology strategies.

Essential Functions:
  • Leads the development of technology roadmaps for the deployment of current and emerging technology; advises IT senior leadership team on strategies to prioritize.
  • Serves as the organization’s lead technologist, providing executive oversight and leadership for technology solutions necessary to support the clinical and business needs.
  • Collaborates with IT senior leadership team in development and execution of IT’s strategic plan and initiatives including development of tactical plans for technology teams to deliver on the planned initiatives.
  • Responsible for creating, adhering and managing the core technology budget for the enterprise, including capital planning, operational budgeting and budget adherence. Provides insight for cost saving opportunities and motivates teams to achieve savings. Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges. Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and established department plans.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
  • Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, vendors and suppliers to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Leads and collaborates with key stakeholders to further the organization’s digital transformation journey and solution implementation to solve strategic initiatives, and operational challenges.
  • Collaborates with the PMO to provide a system approach to IT project management inclusive of: IT, acquisitions, innovation, and resource management, leveraging high collaboration with business sponsors, owners and project leads to monitor work plans and ensure project success.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify automation technology improvements to drive efficiency; leading technology teams through change and implementation practices.
  • Ensures a highly reliable platform to support strategic and innovative improvements by driving change management, problem management and service management in the IT organization.
  • Collaborates and supports the IT security officer to ensure that the information technology environment is secure and that the appropriate processes and controls exist to protect data and assets from unwanted breach.
  • Responsible for guiding, setting, and driving adherence to technology and application standards for the organization. Responsible for managing vendor and service provider relationships for technology at Adven/tist Health.
  • Recruits and orients new employees. Ensures all employees are sufficiently trained to carry out their duties. Creates an engaging workplace and encourages others to contribute creative and innovative approaches to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Drives a performance culture through appraisals and other coaching. Disciplines personnel when deems appropriate.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Work Experience
  • Ten years IT operations experience: Required
  • Ten years IT technical experience: Required
  • Ten years’ experience in a healthcare system setting: Required
  • Ten years' in a leadership role: Required


Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred


Required Licenses
  • Project Management Professional certification: Preferred


Required Skills
  • Organizational change management leadership in a large, complex matrix environment: Preferred
  • Ability to drive integration in complex environments with strong business relationship management: Preferred
  • Process improvement and execution, such as ITIL and/or LEAN: Preferred
  • Outstanding project management skills, identify business needs, provide effective solutions and manage the necessary resources to accomplish goals and objectives: Required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contracts and vendor relationships: Required
  • Works well in a matrix environment: Required
