Like the Magic game in January, I bought the three seats next to Larkin's Kings season tickets [Section 126, seats 7, 8 and 9]. Larkin, Snipes, Sharon, Jack and I ended up going to the Sacramento Kings versus New Orleans Pelicans NBA game. We went early and got dinner at the arena.
The game was tied 59-all at halftime. The Kings outscored the Pelicans 38-20 in the third quarter and won the game by the score of 123 to 108. Fox was ruled out before the game with a hamstring injury.
The high scorer for the Kings was Kevin Hueter. He had 25 points on 9 for 16 from the field, 6 for 10 from three and 1 for 3 from the free throw line.
Domantas Sabonis had his eighth triple-double of the season. Sabonis finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He leads the NBA with 52 double-doubles.
Brandon Ingram was the Pelican's high scorer. He had 24 points on 9 for 16 from the field, 2 for 4 from three and 4 for 5 from the free throw line.
It was a little disappointing not to see Fox or Zion Williamson, but it was nice to see the Kings win. The Kings have three wins and no losses in games that I have seen in person during the 2022-2023 NBA season.
