Sleeping a little later than Saturday morning, I eventually walked to Starbucks for some coffee. We had a buffet breakfast at the White Swan, the Petite Auberge's sister hotel. Packing up the room, we got the car and headed out of the city.
We stopped in Orinda to visit with Drew and Carmen. Sharon brought them a Quaich cup (Scotland’s cup of friendship) from Edinburgh. I am looking forward to spending some time with them at Lake Alm@nor.
We rolled towards home about 10:30 am. With wreck in Vacaville and a stop for a sandwich, it took us almost two hours [24 to 680 to 80 to Auburn].
Back into the heat. It was 107°.
