Sharon and Morgan went to see Barbie at the Country Club Cinema.

Barbie is a fantasy comedy film directed by Greta Gerwig [Lady Bird, Little Women] from a screenplay she wrote with Noah Baumbach. The film stars Margot Robbie [I, Tonya, Bombshell, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood] as Barbie and Ryan Gosling [La La Land, The Big Short] as Ken. A large ensemble cast includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, Ariana Greenblatt, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Helen Mirren, and Will Ferrell.

Based on the Barbie fashion dolls by Mattel, it is the first live-action Barbie film after numerous computer-animated direct-to-video and streaming television films. Barbie and Ken go on a journey of self-discovery after their expulsion from Barbieland.

Morgan and Sharon both said that the movie was good. Morgan described the plot; it sounds complex. Sharon and I had a short discussion about whether or not it will garner any Oscar nominations. She thinks that it is possible...
