The hotel dropped a basket and carafe of coffee at the door at 7:30 am. We had another nice breakfast in the room. I really enjoyed this room. It was a corner room on the top floor. The room had a nice table and chairs in front of a fireplace where we ate breakfast. It also had a desk on the other side of the room.
[Note to self], I need to start taking pictures of the hotel rooms. On the trip to Ireland, Sharon and I had trouble remembering what some of the rooms looked like!
The plan for the morning was a hike at the Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Preserve. Although I would have like to done a little more distance, it turned out to be a very nice hike. There was a particularly interesting view from the Russian River Overlook. In total, we covered 2.6 miles in an hour and 23 minutes. There was quite a bit of climbing; the elevation gain was 371 feet.
Afterwards, we got cleaned up, packed up the room, checked out and loaded the car. We walked back to store on the Plaza to buy a picture stand that Sharon had seen the previous day.
Sharon booked a tasting and a lunch at Williamson Wines Yoakim Bridge Estate. Sharon and Tom had tasted there in August. It was a nice leisurely afternoon, but a little warm...
Rolling from the winery a little after 3 pm, we met Tomasin at the Dry Creek General Store.
We rolled from the general store about 4:25 pm. Waze routed us on 128 through the Alexander and Napa Valleys, past Lake Berryessa and into Winters. We picked up 113 to 80 in Davis. From there, we took 50 to Watt. It was just after 7:15 pm by the time that we got home.
It was a fanastic anniversary trip!
