With Bibby out for up to 10 weeks with thumb surgery and Artest suspended for the first seven games, Marc Stein has dropped the Kings to 29th in his Power Rankings for the start of the 2007-2008 NBA season. This is down from 25th in the Training Camp Edition of the Power Rankings. Only the Timberwolves are ranked lower than the Kings!
While I thought that the Kings would outperform the Training Camp Power Rankings, I am not very optimistic at this point. Without a quality point guard to run the team, I have to agree that the Kings are in serious trouble.
