2007 Fall Dinner Party

Sharon and I have made it a tradition to host a fall dinner party [2006, 2005, 2004, 2003]. This year's group totaled eleven; it equaled the biggest group that we have ever done. The guests included the Cunninghams, Gainsleys, Sanborns, Larkins and Janie.

We were actually successful in getting the group out of the kitchen into the backyard before dinner. It was then a challenge to get everyone back into the house and seated for dinner.

Sharon's menu included Lobster Shooter, Spinach Salad, Puffed Pastry stuffed with Cherries and Cheese, Stuffed Tri-Tip wrapped in bacon, red potatoes, aspargus, pumpkin spice cake and pumpkin ice cream. I have to admit that I probably did less work in the kitchen during the meal this year than in previous years.

In addition to one of the biggest groups, it also turned out to be one of the latest nights that we have ever had. A core group of the Heringers, Gainsley and Larkins ended up in the backyard until after 12:30 a.m.!

I usually try to get a picture of everyone, but somehow I missed the Gainsleys. The Larkins took a number of pictures with their new camera. I will post a few of those separately in the next few days.
