San Francisco Day 2

After breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel, we wandered around the area looking for a drugstore that was open. They then headed to Yebra Buena Gardens. Sharon and Jack had been reading in a guide book about the area and wanted to see the Martin Luther King Memorial and Waterfall. The memorial includes a number of Martin Luther Kings quotes.

From there, we went to the Metreon and the Titanic Artifact Exhibition. This turned out to be a pretty interesting exhibit which focused on a number of aspects of the Titanic, including the people on board the ship and their stories.

Next, Jack wanted to check out the Ice Rink, Bowling Center and Zeum. Jack wanted to go bowling so we spent an hour bowling with him. Towards the end, Jack started to feel under the weather and we headed back to the hotel.

On the way back, we stopped and checked out St. Patrick's. This parish was estblished in 1851. The current building was built in 1912 and is San Francisco Historical Landmark #4.

With Jack crashing, we restructured the rest of the day and cut out a number of things that we were going to do. While I stayed with Jack, Sharon went shopping in Union Square. With Jack fading fast, we ended up having room service and watching a movie.
