Jack was selected to the all-star team for his AA baseball league. Much to his disappointment, we are gone the weekend of the festivities and the all-star game.
For the year, Jack was 19 for 34 at the plate for a batting average of .559. He drew 12 walks and was hit by a pitch just once. Jack's on base percentage was .681 (32 of 47); essentially, he got on base more than 2 out of every 3 times at bat.
In 17 games, Jack played 54 innings at shortstop, 12 innings at pitcher, 6 innings at first base, 3 innings at catcher and 1 inning in left field.
