to the Farmer's Market

In addition to going to the Giants game, the other reason that we were looking to schedule a trip to San Francisco was to spend the morning at the Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building. This is the other reason that I choose the Hotel Vitale. Essentially, it is across the street from the Ferry Building. The room had some great views of the Ferry Building, the Embarcadero and the bay.

Getting up late, we wandered across Embarcadero to the the Ferry Buildng. We got breakfast at one of the booths and then spent the rest of the morning wandering through the market. We ended up buying quite a load of produce.

We also wandered through the permanent stores in the Ferry Building. There are a couple of places that we have marked off for a future trip, including Tsar Nicoulai Caviar Café.

Jack and I then went on a walk about in downtown San Francisco. We were looking for a Jamba Juice. Although the gps directed us to four different locations, we were all closed on Saturday and Sunday. Along the way, we spotted at three different California Historical Landmarks.

Putting our farmer's market purchases in an ice chest in the trunk, we checked out of the hotel and headed home about noon.
