To the Towe Auto Museum

There have been some articles recently about how the Towe Auto Museum's lease with the city of Sacramento expires in February 2008. Apparently, the city wants to develop the stretch of the river from I-5 to the Tower Bridge as part of something called the Dock's project.

Given the uncertain future and the fact that I have never been there, I decided to take Jack to Towe Auto Museum Saturday morning. I was surprised at the size of the collection. They must have close to a hundred cars representing the period from the late 1800's through the 1950's with a few cars from the 1960's and 1970's. Although old cars are not one of my passions, I was amazed at the quality and quantity of the cars on display.

Although we went early, I was surprised how empty the place was. I do not think there were more than 2 other visitors in the cavernous building.
