2015 NorCal NIT Tournament Day 2

The Walbeck Elite played in a doubleheader at Billy Hebert field in the second day of the NorCal NIT Tournament. Jack played at this field with the Outlaws.

The Elite played the Cats in the first game of the season. They lost to the Cats by the score of 9 to 7 last week. [Jack said later that this was not the same team they played last week; it was the Cats younger team?]

Jack did not bat. He entered the game in the bottom of the seventh as a courtesy runner for Freeman (C). He went to second on a sacrifice bunt, to third on two successive walks and scored as a passed ball just before Trevor struck out to end the game...

Three different pitchers (Dewitt, Kane and Richardson) gave up 10 runs (9 earned). The Elite fell behind by the score of 9 to 0 and were never really in the game. The Cats won the game by the score of 10 to 5. The scorebook is here.

The Elite turned right around and played Club All-Star.
