I had a nice lunch-time run. As it rained all morning, I kept my eye on the doppler radar. Just after noon, the radar showed a clear break in the rain coming towards Mather. I ran a solid 6.3 miles with the following splits: 1st mile-8:58; 2nd mile-8:56; 3rd mile-8:57; 4th mile-8:52; 5th mile-8:34 and; 6th mile-8:54. A very large healthy looking coyote ran across the road and over the bike path in front of me. As I got close to the building, it started to rain again and rained all afternoon.
