Jack played in his twelfth baseball game of the season. He pitched one inning. His control was not as good as his first outing. He got on base twice with two sharp infield hits.
More than any other one this year, this game felt like it dragged on and on. The kids pitched to each other the whole game and all of the pitchers struggled with their control. On the other side, none of the kids were swinging the bat. As result, most of the at-bats stretched to the maximum number of possible pitches.
