The SEAS Eagles played their second league game of the season against Merryhill South. Although I didn't recognize any of the kids, I think that this team was also in the flag league football last fall.
Based on seeing Merryhill play a little the previous week, I was frankly surprised when the Eagles starters ran out to a 15 to 0 first quarter lead; I thought that Merryhill looked like a stronger team. This lopsided first quarter provided the coaches with a chance to play the bench a lot of minutes.
Jack took advantage of the opportunity. He ended up playing 16 minutes of the 28 minute game. Jack was 4 for 6 from two point range, 0 for 1 from three point range and 0 for 2 from the free throw line. He was muttering after the game about missing both of the free throws. Jack, Zach and Aiden were the high scoring Eagles players with 8 points each. Jack added one offensive rebound, a steal and a turnover to his totals for the game.
The Eagles rolled to a convincing win by the score 39 to 13. The box score is here.
The SEAS Eagles now have 2 wins and 2 losses for the season. The game log is here.
