Saturday night, Sharon and I finished watching season three of Downton Abbey. We finished season one in August and season two earlier in September.
The second season comprises nine episodes. It originally aired from September 16, 2012 to November 4, 2012 with a December 25, 2012 special Christmas episode.
The show explores the lives of the fictional Crawley family, the hereditary Earls of Grantham, and their domestic servants. The storyline in season three runs from March of 1920 to November of 1921. Historical events include the Irish War of Independence leading to the formation of the Irish Free State.
