I ran 7 1/8 miles at lunch. On my way back, one of the young bucks from work turned around at the 10k halfway mark and I chased him back. I ran a 8:04 over the fifth mile, a 7:38 over the sixth mile (closing the gap between the two of us) and a 7:55 over the seventh mile. I averaged 7:52 over the last three miles. Given some of the physical struggles (more on that in a future post) that I have had over the last year, I felt very good about these times.
