My personal highlight of the season so far is not having to watch Shareef Abdur-Rahim or Kenny Thomas play. In his column last month, Bill Simmons included both the contracts of Abdur-Rahim and Thomas in a list of the 25 worst contracts in the league. Shareef Abdur-Rahim (out for the season with a knee injury) is on the books for 3 years and $18.6 million, while Kenny Thomas (sitting at the very end of bench and DNP in the last five games) is 3 years and $23.9 million. I do not care how much they are making; I just don't want to pay to watch either one of them play.
ESPN - NBA Basketball Power Rankings - National Basketball Association - Martin is back now and Bibby is on the way, but the return of Brad Miller might be the biggest news of all . . . if Miller's January form continues. He's suddenly averaging 20.2 ppg, 10.5 rpg and 5.2 apg this month.
