To Vancouver

We took a late afternoon Air Canada flight from Sacramento to Vancouver. I was frankly surprised how quick the flight went; it was less than two hours. We breezed through customs, got a cab and were at the hotel in less than an hour.

We are spending one night at the Georgian Court Hotel downtown. After checking into the room, we took a cab to the Gastown part of Vancouver. We wandered through the area and had a late dinner at the Water Street Cafe. This restaurant is across the street from the Gastown Steam Clock. Sharon and Jack went out to watch the clock go off at 9:00 p.m. The food was solid. Sharon and Jack split spaghetti, while I had seafood risotto. The pasta was not as good as the food we had at Luggatti's in Huntington Beach last year when we were there for Drew's graduation.

Getting back to the room after 10 p.m., Jack crashed hard. It was been a very busy four days for him with two baseball playoff games, a field day at school and the last day of school today.
