Sharon and I were married eighteen years ago today. Typically, we have tried to celebrate our anniversary with an overnight trip. Given all of the balls in the air, including the fall dinner party, Hunter's wedding and a trip to Stanford, we decided to stay close to home.
Taking part of the day off, Sharon and I had an early lunch at Mothers. Afterwards, we exchanged gifts at the Esquire Grill. I got Sharon a Kindle Paperwhite.
We went to Gone Girl in the afternoon. Sharon had loved the audio book. I hadn't read anything about the book or the plot so I didn't know what to expect. It is definitely better to not know where the story is going. Overall, I would give the movie a solid "B." Running two hours and twenty minutes, I found it a little slow in spots.
