We hiked to Jake's Outlook. The view that Wallen expected at the top was obstructed by some trees that had grown up. On the way down, we made a side trip to Dickerson Falls. We ended up hiking just over 7.5 miles in two and a half hours.
Wallen did two work calls in the afternoon. I worked on updating the blog, used the Gemini AI to improve the quality of a picture we found of me from 1983 and tried to take a short nap.
Eventually, Jill, Wallen and I headed to the Boatshed for some clam chowder and clams. Like seventeen years ago, there was a grey whale swimming back and forth in the strait.
We headed to Nate and Sam's house for dinner. Nate made a nice dinner of flat iron steak, mash potatoes, bread and salad. With three young kids and two dogs, it was a little chaotic.
Jill, Wallen and I finished the night on the hardscape overlooking Phinney Bay. It is a beautiful spot.
It was almost 11 pm by the time that I crashed.
